Day 30 Reflection
Overcoming Obstacles and Realizing Potential
Today marks the 30th day of a deeply intentional journey, one that started with encouragement from my closest circle and a potential business client. They all had one consistent message: it was time to share my story with Zeal Consulting, to unveil the experiences and insights that have shaped my path.
Despite the allure of returning to a comfortable six-figure salary, stepping back into my former role as a VP Global Strategy Lead was not in the cards. My exit from one of the world’s largest banks was more than a career move; it signified a loss of purpose. The work I once passionately engaged in had become disconnected from my sense of value and contribution.
This realization hit amidst a whirlwind of personal and professional upheavals. In one particularly challenging week, I faced everything from medication theft and contractor mishaps to a canceled meeting with a senior managing director – a discussion I had hoped would reignite my sense of belonging in the organization. That same week, was a major Veterans event for Carry The Load at the National Veteran’s Memorial Museum, leading into Memorial Day.
In the midst of these challenges, my therapist’s steadfast assurance, “I got you,” became a beacon of hope when I told him it was time for me to take a knee. His unwavering support over the years has been a cornerstone of my resilience, helping to ignite the spirit of Zeal Consulting. Big ups, MP 🙏🏽.
This 30-day blogging endeavor has been a journey of introspection and revelation. It’s been about sharing my story, processing deep emotions, and laying the groundwork for future endeavors, including a book. This process has not only been cathartic but also instrumental in framing my approach to business training and development.
As I conclude this 30-day saga, my heart is filled with gratitude for your support and companionship. If my journey resonates with you, I invite you to connect.
